The Colorado College women's tennis dropped the first dual match of the season, 6-1, to Dallas Baptist University Thursday at Pueblo City Park.
 
DBU jumped out to a 1-0 lead by sweeping the three double matches.
 
Freshman Christina Heffron captured the lone victory for CC, defeating Sanne Janssen, 7-5, 6-2, at the No. 1 singles position.
 
The Patriots won the other five singles matches, all in straight sets.
 
The Tigers return to action at the ITA Division III West Regionals, Oct 1-3.
