Box Score 2 The No. 2-ranked Colorado College volleyball captured the team title at the 2021 CC Classic with a pair of three-set victories on Saturday at Reid Arena.

The Tigers downed St. Catherine University, 25-23, 25-21, 25-13, and Linfield University, 25-23, 25-15, 25-17, to finish the season's opening weekend with a 4-0 record.

Tournament MVP
Georgia Mullins led CC with 18 kills in the first match against St. Catherine. Mullins had only four errors on 28 attempts and posted a .500 hitting percentage against the Wildcats.
Isabella Vasquez chipped in with nine kills while
Jenny Jenks collected 40 assists and paced the Tigers with 12 digs.

Maggie Rosen and Lauren Skar led St. Catherine with seven kills apiece.

In the second match of the day against Linfield, Mullins continued her torrid start to the season, finishing with a match-high 12 kills and .450 hitting percentage. Jenks, who collected 31 assists, hit .600 with three kills on an error-free five attempts.

Vasquez added 10 kills, while
Peyton Hummel and
Isabella Lipacis led the team with 13 digs apiece. Vasquez, Hummel and Jenks were selected to the all-tournament team, along with St. Catherine's Bryana Leverantz and Linfield's Regan Dean and Aylea Dixon.

Dixon had 30 assists for Linfield against the Tigers, while Raelynn Hammock led the Wildcats with 11 kills and 15 digs.

Colorado College hit .276 vs. St. Catherine and .283 against Linfield.

The Tigers host the 2021 Spike It Up Classic starting on Friday, Sept. 10.
