Tigers Fall to Division I New Mexico in Spring Opener

The Colorado College women's tennis team opened its spring 2022 schedule on Saturday with a 7-0 loss to Division I New Mexico at Lifetime Fitness in Colorado Springs.
 
The Lobos took an early 1-0 lead by sweeping the three doubles matches, then won all six singles matches in straight sets.
 
Freshman Grace Dereemer took Stoho Toriumi to 6-4 in the second set of the No. 6 singles match.
 
"Grace did a great job serving today, and had a nice overall performance in singles," head coach Anthony Weber said.
 
The Tigers return to action on Friday, Feb. 18 against Midland University in Fremont, Kansas.
