Brush Leads Tigers To Sweep Over NWU

Led by 2022 All-American Kate Brush, the Colorado College women's swimming and diving team posted an impressive 146-55 victory over Nebraska Wesleyan Saturday at Schlessman Natatorium.

Brush, who finished 13th in the 200 butterfly at the 2022 NCAA Division III Championship, won a pair of events on Saturday, the 100-yard butterfly and 200 freestyle.

Emma Krasemann duplicated her performance on Friday by winning both diving events, while Emma Phillips won the 1000 freestyle and joined Peyton Wright, Maddie Heynen and Liz Duncan to touch first in the 200 freestyle race.

Gina Lynch followed up a couple of wins on Friday with a victory in the 400 individual medley on Saturday, while Grace Ersfeld-O'Brien and Megan Simonson won the 100 freestyle and 50 freestyle, respectively.

"There were much closer races today and we were pushed to perform," head coach Anne Goodman James said.

The Tigers travel to Texas next weekend for dual meets against SCAC foes Trinity Univeristy (Oct. 21) and Southwestern University (Oct. 22).
