Kaelin Enga made sure the six seniors on the Colorado College women's soccer team won their final home game at Stewart Field.
Â
Enga scored the game's lone goal and was a major factor in the middle third of the field for 90 minutes Sunday as the Tigers defeated Colorado State, 1-0, in the 2022 home finale.
Â
The sophomore from Colorado Springs took a pass from
Erin Ewers, moved to the middle of the field and fired a rocket from 25 yards out that eluded CSU goalkeeper Emilie Gavillet in the 43
rd minute as the Tigers improved to 6-5-4 overall and 3-2-3 in the Mountain West.
Â
Enga's second game-winning goal of the season (the other in a 2-1 victory over Bucknell) moved the Tigers into the sixth and final playoff spot in the Mountain West standings with three games to play.
Â
The next two games are on the road and then the regular season concludes on Thursday, Oct. 27, against Air Force in the inaugural City for Champions Cup at Weidner Field in downtown Colorado Springs.
