Five Tigers in Double Digits, CC Dominates Dallas

The Tigers tied a four-decade old record with a dominating 108-59 win over the University of Dallas Crusaders on Friday night in Reid Arena.

CC tied the all-time program scoring high with 108 points, the last time the scoreboard saw 108  was against Eastern New Mexico University on Feb. 1, 1980. The Tigers shot 48.4% with 15 three-pointers, the most in a single-game under head coach Katherine Menendez.

"Our team showed tremendous heart against a strong Dallas squad tonight. Our execution via the press and in the half court allowed us to find success… it was a lot of fun getting it done together, honestly," Menendez said. "The balanced scoring and rebounding was evidence of our depth and that sort of distribution needs to happen when we're at our best as a team."

Five Tigers scored in the double digits: Zoe Tomlinson, Andie Will, Audrey Bayston, Laura Strenk and Kayla Mackel. Mackel's 11 points are the most in her career at Colorado College. Anna Fanelli continues to put up impressive numbers in her senior campaign and earned 13 assists and four points.

Colorado College held the Crusaders to a 38.3 field goal percentage and 32 second-half points and allowed zero second-chance points. Forty-six of the Tigers 108 came from the bench.

"Our staff is incredibly proud of the work each individual on our team continues to out in and excited that their efforts are paying off in the way of positive results in the win column," Menendez said.

The University of Dallas was led by Maria Dicenta who scored 12 points and nabbed two rebounds.
