Talia Cloud matched her career-high of 20 points, but the Colorado College women's basketball team fell to Trinity University, 50-45, in the championship game of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament.

Cloud scored half of her points in the first quarter when CC built a 19-11 lead after 10 minutes. The junior forward was red-hot during the first 10 minutes, hitting both of her three-pointers and a pair of free throws.

Colorado College led 26-14 after
Healy Bledsoe sank a free throw with 5:08 remaining in the second quarter, but CC couldn't get the ball to drop during and TU closed to within six points at halftime.

The scoring draught continued during the first five minutes of the second half, and by the time
Audrey Bayston hit a pair of free throws with 4:42 to play in the third quarter, Trinity had pulled ahead 30-26.

Cloud scored six more points during the final three minutes as CC utilized an 8-5 surge to grab a 38-37 lead with 10 minutes to play.

Tedy Reed gave Colorado College a 43-41 lead when she knocked down a jumper with 4:51 to play, however TU answered with eight straight points before
Rosie Braley scored on a layup to cut CC's deficit to four points with four seconds to play.

Anna Fanelli dished out five assists to improve her conference single-season record total to 239. Her career total now stands at 444, which ranks second in school history and fifth all-time in the SCAC.

In addition to her six points, Braley grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds.

As a team, Colorado College had a 47-28 advantage in rebounds

Maggie Robbins led Trinity with 14 points. She also grabbed five rebounds and had a pair of steals.    Â
