Tomlinson Nets Three, but Six-Goal Spurt Powers Stockton Past Tigers

Stockton University utilized a six-goal outburst during a seven-minute span to build an 8-3 lead and went on to record a 16-9 victory over Colorado College on Sunday afternoon.

After Caroline Shay gave the Tigers 3-2 lead early in the second quarter, Stockton scored the final three goals of the first half to grab a 5-3 lead.

The Ospreys tacked on three more goals to open the third quarter before Zoe Tomlinson put an end to CC's scoring draught with the first of her season-high three goals.

The teams traded goals until Jennifer Toal scored twice in a span of 36 seconds to give Stockton a 12-6 lead with a little less than 13 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter.

The Tigers scored three of the next four goals to cut its deficit to 13-9 on Tomlinson's free-position shot with 8:03 to play, but that was a close Colorado College would get.
