The Colorado College women's tennis team returned from its spring break trip to Orlando and dropped an 8-1 decision to Division II Colorado Mesa University Saturday at Memorial Park.

Malia Rivera captured the No. 6 singles match for CC, defeating Audrey O'Rear, 6-2, 6-4.

The Mavericks won all three doubles matches to take a 3-0 lead, then won the other five singles matches in straight sets.

Christina Heffron battled Makenna Livingston at the No. 1 singles spot before falling, 6-3, 7-6(5).
