Tigers Travel to Creighton For Friday Tilt

BACK OUT ON THE ROAD AT CREIGHTON
The Colorado College women's soccer team wraps up its non-conference schedule this week at Creighton University in Omaha, Neb. The match is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 9, beginning at 3:30 p.m. (MT) at Morrison Stadium.

LAST TIME OUT
The Tigers went 0-1-1 at home last week to conclude its four-match homestand. On Thursday, the Tigers outshot Southeast Missouri State, 24-3, but dropped a 2-1 decision to the Redhawks. SEMO, which scored on both of its shots on goal, took the lead just 1:21 into the contest, but junior transfer Shalom Prince evened the score with her first collegiate goal in the 40th minute. Freshman Kylie Smith registered her first collegiate point with a corner kick that found Prince on the far side of the box. The Redhawks notched the game winner in the 56th minute and the Tigers controlled play after the Redhawks took the lead and allowed just one other shot for the remaining 34 minutes. Meanwhile, CC attempted 11, including a free kick by goalie Zahra Cheeseman with 33 seconds remaining in the contest that rang off the right post. On Sunday, CC and Texas A&M-Commerce battled to a 2-2 draw. The Lions opened the scoring with an own goal in the 12th minute, but tallies by Lily Byrne and Jordan Darrow gave CC a 2-1 lead midway through the second half. The Lions evened the score with a header off a corner kick with less than four minutes remaining.
