Mia Casey notched a hat trick to lead the Colorado State women's soccer team to a 3-0 victory over Colorado College Thursday afternoon in Fort Collins, Colo.

Casey opened the scoring in 18
th minute, then extended the lead in the 27
th minute. She nearly scored her third goal early in the second half, but her free kick caromed off the crossbar. She finally got her third goal in the 66
th minute to close out the scoring.

Shayna Ross had five saves for the Rams.

The Tigers mustered just six total shots, with five of them on target. Regen Wallace had four saves before giving way to
Erika Upson in the 74
th minute. Upson made two saves.

"That was a tough one to take today," head coach
Keri Sanchez said. "We know how much is on the line with each game in terms of earning points to keep us in the chase for a playoff spot and we just could not match the intensity Colorado State played with today. We have moments that show the potential of this team but we need to be more consistent with our heart, desire, and fight."
