Tigers Play Air Force in 2nd Annual C4C Cup
The Colorado College women's soccer team plays its final regular season match of the 2023 season on Thursday, Oct. 26, against Air Force in the 2nd Annual City For Champions Cup. The match, at Weidner Field in Colorado Springs, is scheduled to start at 6 p.m.

City For Champions Cup
Colorado College and Air Force will take the field and contend for the the City for Champions Cup at Weidner Field, home of the Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC. The 8,000-person capacity venue located in downtown Colorado Springs will be the host site for the City for Champions Cup, a two-year endeavor between the city's two NCAA Division I women's soccer programs. Colorado College, Air Force, the Colorado Springs Sports Corporation, and Switchbacks FC have come together in partnership to plan and execute this exciting event, which also serves as the Mountain West's regular-season finale for each team. Participation in women's soccer is reaching new heights and the  Tigers and Falcons are two local teams championing that movement. The City for Champions Cup aims to showcase the talent of these young women in the hopes of inspiring other young women and girls to learn and grow the sport of soccer

Last Time Out
The Tigers split a pair of conference games on the road last week. On Thursday, Shalom Prince scored twice in the final 17 minutes as Colorado College rallied to defeat San Jose State, 2-1.  Prince notched her team-high fourth goal of the season in the 74th minute to even the game by knocking in a corner kick from Ava Risser past SJSU goalie Bente Pernot, then scored the game winner in the 84th minute, converting a pass from Evie Biggs and beating Pernot for the first brace of her career. SJSU's Sabrina Weinman opened the scoring with a free kick in the 63rd minute that found the upper left corner of the net past the sprawling arms of Tiger goalie Regan Wallace from 25 yards. That was the only blemish from Wallace all evening as she saved the other nine shots on goal by the Spartans. On Sunday, CC dropped a 5-0 decision at Fresno State.

Seniors Shalom Prince and Alexis Wessler and junior Kaelin Enga have been named team captains for the 2023 season.
