Tigers Fall to Trinity in SCAC Tournament Final

The Colorado College volleyball team fell in the SCAC Tournament Championship to No.1 seeded Trinity 3-0. The Tigers drop to 17-11 on the season and will await a potential spot via an at-large bid in the NCAA DIII Tournament.
 
CC was limited to a .116 overall hitting percentage while Trinity hit a .269 clip. Carolyn Dormady led all CC players with a .240 clip and nine kills and three service aces. Dormady finished the weekend with 42 kills. 
 
Brooke Brilliant followed suit with eight kills, a .227 clip off 22 total attacks and two blocks. Keeley Kandziora and Isabella Lipacis each had seven kills. 

CC managed to hold Trinity to a .149 hitting clip in the first set, but their offense continued to progress and hit .452 in the third and final set. Freshman Megan Gannon finished the game with 12 digs, while Jenny Jenks had a team-high 16 digs and 26 assists. 
 
Trinity's Logan Mackenzie led all players with 12 kills, while Maddie Fate had nine.  
 
The NCAA DIII volleyball selection show is scheduled to be on Monday, Nov. 13 at 11:00 a.m. Mountain Time. The Tigers currently hold the fourth spot in the NCAA DIII Region X rankings.

All-Tournament Team
Seniors Jenks and Lipacis were named to the SCAC All-Tournament team. Jenks finished the weekend with 126 assists and 48 digs. Lipacis racked up 42 kills (14 per game) and a hitting clip. She had 18 kills and a .302 clip in the semifinal win against Texas Lutheran on Friday evening.
