Colorado College Falls in SCAC Championship Game

Colorado College fell to No. 5 Trinity University, 64-54, in the SCAC Championship game on Sunday afternoon at Calgaard Gym in San Antonio, Texas. 

Senior forward Talia Cloud led the Tigers with 10 points and three rebounds. Cloud and sophomore Zoe Tomlinson each earned a spot on the all-tournament team. Freshman guard and SCAC First-Year Player of the Year Andie Will was second with eight points and six rebounds. 

After leading by one, 14-13, at the end of the first quarter, Trinity took over the game by outscoring CC, 17-4, in the second quarter and led by 17 at the half.

Colorado College shot 43% from the field, but went 3-15 from behind the arc.

Trinity was led by Maggie Shipley and Josie Napoli, who both earned 17 points and pulled down six and five rebounds, respectively. 

Colorado College fell to 19-8 overall, the most wins since the 1980-81 campaign. The NCAA Division III Tournament Selection show airs on Mon. Feb 27, at 12:30 p.m. MT.
