After a six goal first quarter, the Tigers held the momentum throughout the rest of the game and beat the Denison University Big Red, 17-9, on Friday night at Washburn Field.
Colorado College jumped out to a dominating lead early in the game after scoring five unanswered goals, including
Healy Bledsoe's first of the season off of a free-position attempt at 6:32.Â
Kendall Havill posted a trio of goals in the first half and
Olivia Dossett struck for one with 3:51 remaining in the second quarter to give the Tigers a 9-4 lead at the half.Â
The Tigers and the Big Red traded goals to start the third quarter, before the Tigers scored back-to-back-to-back to build a 14-6 advantage. Maddie Morrell struck with 15 seconds remaining in the third quarter in an attempt to cut CC's lead, but two goals by the Tigers to start the fourth quarter stopped any comeback hope for the Red.Â
