Colorado College were unable to overcome an early deficit in its 19-5 loss to Williams College on Tuesday at Washburn Field.
Courtney Zell put the first points on the board to give the Tigers a 1-0 lead before giving up 10 unanswered goals.
Grace Bean scored her first goal as a Tiger at 1:41 to make the score 11-3 at the half.
The Tigers came out of halftime with back-to-back goals by
Kendall Havill and
Peyton Murphy to cut the deficit 12-5. The Ephs responded with seven unanswered goals to secure the victory for Williams College.
The Ephs out shot the Tigers 32-18 and held the edge in draw controls 17-9. The ground ball battle ended 15-15 between CC and Williams College.
