Colorado College started its road trip on a high note with a 15-7 victory over Smith College in Northampton, Mass. on Thursday afternoon.
Kendall Havill started the momentum for the Tigers off of a pass from
Peyton Murphy at 12:29 for a 1-0 lead. Smith tied the game just three minutes later.
Bella Scola,
Gabby Torres and
Grace Bean scored back to back to back goals for CC to build a 4-1 lead. A lead the Tigers would holdfor the remainder of the game.
The Tigers and the Pioneers both went scoreless in the second quarter to end the half 6-3.
Colorado College came out with all the momentum after the half, and scored four unanswered goals to extend the lead to 9-3. The Pioneers tried to battle back with a goal by Emma Butterick at 8:04 on a man-up opportunity.

Bridget Hanley and
Healy Bledsoe added three more goals for the Tigers to build a 12-4 lead. The Pioneers connected three more times in the remainder of the game but Colorado College maintained the lead and earned a 15-7 victory.
CC out shot Smith College 39-16 while Smith College held the edge in the ground ball battle 21-19.
