The Colorado College women's tennis won the third-place match at the 2023 SCAC Championships, 5-1, over the University of St. Thomas Sunday afternoon in Georgetown, Texas.

The Tigers, seeded No. 3 at the tournament, jumped out to an early 2-1 lead after the doubles competition.
Maddy Meister and
Gigi Jensen blanked Anamaria Gonzalez and Karissa Guzman, 8-0, at the No. 1 position, while
Christina Heffron and
Lindsay Popeo downed Regina Lopez and Aimee Tran, 8-1, at the No. 3 spot.

Colorado College continued its momentum and rolled in singles action, winning three matches in straight sets to close out the team match. Meister shut out Tran, 6-0, 6-0, at the No. 6 position, then Girian took care of Lopez, 6-1, 6-2, at No. 5. Jensen clinched the team match with an impressive 6-3, 6-0, victory over Guzman at the No. 4 spot. The other three matches were pulled at that time, with the Tigers winning two of them.

The Tigers, ranked 17
th in the West Region, finished the 2022-23 campaign with a 7-13 overall record and third at the SCAC Tournament for the second consecutive season.
