The Colorado College men's tennis team won the doubles points and
Nate Beerman captured the No. 3 singles match, but the Tigers dropped a 5-2 decision to Division II Colorado Mesa University Saturday at Elliott Tennis Center in Grand Junction, Colo.

The Tigers, who lost to CMU 8-1 last Saturday, won at the Nos. 1 and 3 doubles spots to claim a 1-0 lead.
Aiden Little and
Lucas Pastor downed Jorge Abreu and Tegan Hartman, 6-1, at the No. 3 position, then Beerman and
Andrew Kaelin clinched the point with a thrilling, 7-6(6) victory over Henry Scheck and William Leschig, at the top spot.

In singles action, Beerman rallied to beat Diego Manzano, 4-6, 6-1, 6-2, but the Mavericks captured the other five matches, with four of them extended to three sets.

The Tigers return to action on Thursday, April 13, against SCAC-foe Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, beginning at 4 p.m. (MT).
