Army scored three goals in the second half and the Black Knights defeated Colorado College, 3-0, Sunday in West Point.

Following a scoreless first half in which the teams combined for just seven total shots, Kaitlin Palaian took a crossing pass from Madison Niebish and placed a header from the middle of the box past CC goalie
Regan Wallace.

The Black Knights attempted the first seven shots of the second half as their defense clamped down in the final 45 minutes. Colorado College was able to get just seven shots off in the in the final 45 as Army held a 16-10 advantage in the match.

Freshman
Tyler Rose had a golden opportunity for CC in the 81
st minute. Following a free kick, Army goalie Sage Strohman got her hands on the ball in the box, but could not control it and Rose had the ball behind Strohman and an open net, but her shot from the left side sailed just wide.

Brigid Duffy and Madison Nichols scored for the Black Knights in the final 10 minutes.

Wallace finished the match with four saves, while
Erika Upson had one in 16 minutes of relief duty. Strohman made just one save as the Tigers' only shot on goal came with one minute remaining in the match.

The Tigers return to action next Friday, Sept. 15, for their final non-conference match of the season against Arizona State in Tempe, beginning at 8 p.m. (MDT).
