Curtis Hale scored his first goal of the season late in the game as the Colorado College men's soccer team defeated the University of the Ozarks, 2-1, Friday afternoon in Dallas, Texas.

Jack Hilliard put the Tigers on the board at 50:63 of the second half with a shot to the low right side of the goal. The score was the freshman's first collegiate goal, while senior
Alexander Ward picked up the assist for his second of the season.

An own goal by CC at 71:47 tied the contest.

Hale's game winner in the 76
th minute was a low shot past Ozarks goaltender Abdoulalli Ibrahim Jirani. Sophomore
Oliver Ramirez assisted on the goal for his team-high third of the campaign. Ramirez has one point in each of CC's five games this year.

"Today wasn't our best effort, but the guys reacted well when Ozarks equalized and we got the job done," head coach
Scott Palguta said. "We will have to be sharper on Sunday, but we continue to learn and grow and we are moving in the right direction."

CC (3-1-1) outshot the Eagles, 21-7, with a 10-1 advantage in shots on goal, and recorded seven corners compared to two for Ozarks (2-2-0).

The Tigers, 3-0-1 in their last four games, will be back in action on Sunday at UT Dallas, taking on the Comets at 12 p.m. (MT).
