The Colorado College women's tennis team closed its 2023-24 dual match slate with a 7-0 loss to Division II Dallas Baptist University Saturday afternoon in Pueblo, Colo.
 
DBU jumped out to an early 1-0 lead by sweeping all three doubles matches. The best match was at the top spot, where freshmen 
Kala Komanduri and 
Avery Hickman fell to Jenna Payne and Madalyn Smelly, 6-4.    
 
The Tigers battles their way to a pair of three-set matches in singles. Hickman won the first set before falling to Smelley, 3-6, 6-2, 1-0(6) at the No.2 position, while senior 
Gigi Jensen lost the No. 5 match to Emily Buchanan, 2-6, 6-2, 1-0(4).
 
The Tigers return to action at the ITA West Regional Tournament, Sept. 29 – Oct. 1, in Claremont, Calif.
