Tigers Travel to East Coast To Face Bucknell and Army
The Colorado College women's soccer team travels to the East Coast for a pair of matches this week. The Tigers take on Bucknell on Thursday, Sept. 7, in Lewisburg, Pa., beginning at 5 p.m. (MT), then to West Point, N.Y., on Sunday, Sept. 10, to face Army at 11 a.m. (MT). Both contests will be streamed live on ESPN+.

Last Time Out
The Tigers dropped a pair of road matches two weeks ago, falling to the University of Colorado, 2-0, on Aug. 24, and the University of Kansas, 6-0, on Aug. 27. Freshman Regan Wallace started both games and made a career-high 10 saves against Colorado. Wallace played the first 35 minutes against Kansas before giving way to fellow freshman Erika Upson, who made her collegiate debut, and junior Zahra Cheeseman.

Second Year for Head Coach Keri Sanchez
Keri Sanchez was named the eighth head coach in the history of the school's Division I women's soccer program in December of 2021. Sanchez, who won four NCAA National Championships as a player at the University of North Carolina, led the Tigers to a 7-7-5 record and their first appearance in the Mountain West Tournament since 2018. She brought 25 years of coaching experience to Colorado Springs that spans Division I and Division III. During her standout professional career, Sanchez played at the highest level. She notched 13 caps with the United States Women's National Team and played in the first-ever World Cup qualifying tournament in 1991.

2023 Captains
Seniors Shalom Prince and Alexis Wessler and junior Kaelin Enga have been named team captains for the 2023 season.
