The Colorado College volleyball team (8-7, 4-1 SCAC) continues play in Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) this weekend with three matches in Houston, Texas. The Tigers play St. Thomas on Friday, Oct. 11, beginning at 6 p.m. (CT), 16
th-ranked Southwestern on Saturday, Oct 12, at 2:30 p.m. (CT) and 22
nd-ranked Trinity on Sunday, Oct. 13, at 12 p.m. (CT).

Last Time Out
The Tigers split a pair of road SCAC matches last weekend. CC defeated Centenary, 3-0, in Shreveport on Saturday before dropping its first league match to Austin College, 3-0, on Sunday.
Carolyn Dormady collected a match-high 13 kills and did not commit an error for a .542 hitting percentage in the 25-10, 25-14, 25-18, win over Centenary.
Camille Sherrill, meanwhile, added eight kills and a .294 hitting percentage.
Brooke Brilliant and
Steph Brown followed with six kills apiece. Brilliant committed just one attack error, while Brown had just two.
Annie Steger collected 36 assists as the Tigers improved to 8-6 overall and 4-0 in the SCAC. Sherrill led all players with 12 digs, followed by
Meghan Gannon with 10.
In the 25-15, 25-18, 25-20 loss at Austin, Dormady led the Tigers with 10 kills, followed by Brilliant with nine and Sherrill and Brown with seven apiece. Steger collected 32 assists and had 10 digs, one fewer than Sherrill.
Scouting The Opposition
St. Thomas enters the weekend with a 9-8 overall record and 4-2 mark in the SCAC. The Celts lost to Austin College, 3-0, then swept a doubleheader with Centenary last weekend. CC defeated UST, 3-0, on Sept. 20 at Reid Arena.
No. 16 Southwestern is 13-1 overall and 4-0 in the SCAC after defeating Schreiner, 3-2, and Concordia, 3-1, on the road last weekend.
No. 22 Trinity is 10-6 overall and 3-1 in the SCAC. The Tigers defeated Smith College, 3-2, and No. 22 NYU, 3-1, and lost to No. 20 Ithaca, 3-1, in New York City last weekend.

CC returns home next weekend to face Austin College on Friday, Oct. 18 at 11 a.m., then Dickinson College and Centenary on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 12 p.m., and 6 p.m., respectively. Those are the final home matches of the 2024 season and the Tiger seniors will be honored before the Centenary match.
