Kaidan Mbereko had 28 saves to lead 9th-ranked Colorado College to a 2-1 victory over Alaska Anchorage Friday night at the Chuck Homan Ice Rink in Anchorage.

The Tigers improved to 3-0 this season, while UAA fell to 1-6.

Following a scoreless first period in which CC outshot the Seawolves, 8-7, Beckner opened the scoring with a power-play goal just 1:37 into the second period.
Ryan Beck sent a pass behind the net to
Zaccharya Wisdom, who found Beckner open in the slot and he sent a one-timer past UAA goalie Greg Orosz for his second goal of the season.

In the third period, with the Tigers on a 4-on-3 power play, Beckner found
Philippe Blais-Savoie in the slot and he cleanly beat Orosz for his second tally of the campaign.
Klavs Veinbergs also collected a helper on the play.

Mbereko was outstanding all evening, making several point-blank saves, including one on a shorthanded breakaway attempt by UAA's Maximillion Helgeson just 1:32 into the third period. Mbereko also made four saves on a UAA power play with seven minutes to play before giving up a goal to Tanner Edwards with 1:45 to play as Orosz was on the bench in favor of an extra skater.

The Tigers were outshot 28-20, but connected on two of its three power-play opportunities, while the Seawolves were 0-for-3 on the power play.

Blais-Savioe and
Drew Montgomery led the Tigers with three shots apiece, while UAA's Ryan Johnson led all players with four.
