The Colorado College volleyball team won its third consecutive match and continues to sit atop the Blue Division in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference with a three-set victory, 26-24, 25-18, 25-19, over McMurry University on Saturday in Abilene, Texas.

The Tigers improved to 13-8 overall and 8-2 in the SCAC, while McMurry fell to 10-11 overall and 5-5 in league play.

Camille Sherrill led the Tigers with 19 kills, while committing just one error for a career-high .529 hitting percentage.

Carolyn Dormady and
Brooke Brilliant followed with eight kills apiece, while
Meghan Gannon led all players with 19 digs and Dormady added 14.

Reigning SCAC Setter of the Week
Annie Steger collected 32 assists and helped the Tigers to a .307 team hitting percentage.

Colorado College rallied from a 24-22 deficit to win the last four points, including two kills from Sherrill and culminating in a kill from Steger, and capture the first set, 26-24.

The Tigers used an 8-1 run to take a 20-13 lead in the second set and never looked back, then pulled away late in the third set to complete the season sweep over the War Hawks.

Sharon Dingman said. "McMurry competed hard and played well. We are all very proud of our resilience with all the challenges we had with our travel. Our defense was stellar and Camille had a day."
CC plays a pair of conference matches on Sunday, Oct. 27, in Irving, Texas, against the University of Dallas at 2 p.m. (CT), and Centenary at 4:30 p.m. (CT).
