The Colorado College men's and women's cross country teams look to continue their success on the course at the Division III West Regional Championship Meet on Saturday, Nov. 16, in Estacada, Ore.
The women's race will begin at 10 a.m. (PT), followed by the men at 11 a.m. (PT).

SCAC Champions Lead the Way
The No. 2 nationally ranked women's team is led by women's SCAC Runner of the Year and individual title winner, Sydney Rankin, who paced CC to win its fourth consecutive SCAC team title on Nov. 2.

Rankin, a senior from Portland, Ore., won the race in a time of 22:11.90, three seconds ahead of runner-up and fellow senior teammate Isabel Olson, who covered the 6K race in 22:14.60.

Junior Alison Mueller-Hickler finished third for the second consecutive year in 22:23.00 and senior Britt Helgaas in fourth (22:24.60). Sophomore Charlie Flint placed fifth in 22:25.20 to close out the scoring for the Tigers.

Junior Liz White was named this year's recipient of the league's Elite 19 award, while also receiving all-SCAC Honors.

For the men, SCAC champion and Runner of the Year, sophomore Will Shuflit, helped the Tigers secure their sixth consecutive title in nearly record setting time.

He finished 22 seconds ahead of runner-up, while Junior Axel Klomprens finished third in 25:24.10 to earn his first all-SCAC accolade, followed by freshman and SCAC Newcomer of the Year, Vincent Mangat in fourth with a time of 25:32.52.

Tigers Make It Look Easy
Both men's and women's teams have posted historic times and accomplishments this season.

The women have been ranked No. 2 in the country since Oct. 9, when they moved down from No. 1. The ranking came after the Tigers posted the biggest upset win in program history at the John McNicholas Invitational on Sept. 21. CC continued its historic run by winning the Ted Castaneda Classic for the first time since 2008 and clinching the SCAC title for the fourth consecutive year.

The men have also continued their championship run by consistently sweeping the SCAC awards and clinching their sixth consecutive league title. At the Augustana Invitational on Oct. 19, Shuflit led CC with a school-record performance in the 8K race , finishing in 24:18.1.
