The Colorado College men's tennis team captured its first victory of the 2024 season with an exciting, 7-2 victory over Seward County Community College Saturday night at Garden of the Gods Club in Colorado Springs.
 
The Tigers jumped out to a 3-0 lead by sweeping the doubles matches. Andrew Kaelin and Aiden Little snuck past Sam Antwi and Cem Atlamis, 8-7(5), at the No. 1 position, while August Knox and Nick Anderson downed Sebastian De Las Salas and Ognjen Gajic, 8-5, at the No. 2 spot. CC's Jack Delafield and Lucas Pastor captured the No. 3 match, 8-6, over David Roseler and Antoine Adamiak.
 
In singles action, the Tigers won four of the six matches, including three of them in three sets. Kaelin and Pastor won the top two matches, each going the distance by winning third-set super tiebreak, while Nick Anderson did the same at the No. 5 spot. Delafield downed Roseler in straight sets at No. 4.

"That was the most energy we've ever had from the start," head coach Anthony Weber said. "Our top doubles team of Andrew and Aiden played as fundamental and spectacular as I have seen in my time at CC. All three doubles teams set the tone and used momentum into singles."

The Tigers return to action on Thursday, Feb. 15, against Lewis-Clark State College in Lewiston, Idaho, beginning at 1 p.m. (PT).
