The Colorado College men's tennis team battled hard on Saturday, but fell to seventh-ranked Claremont-Mudd-Scripps, 7-0, in Claremont, Calif.

Claremont jumped out to an early 1-0 lead by sweeping the doubles matches. The Tigers' No. 1 team of
Andrew Kaelin and
Aiden Little posted the best result, falling 8-4 at the No. 1 spot to Ian Freer and Matthew Robinson.

The Stags won all six singles matches, but a couple were very close. Little won the first set against Warren Pham at the No. 3 spot before falling, 3-6, 6-3, 1-0(7). Meanwhile,
Nate Beerman saved nine match points in the second-set tiebreak, but lost to Josh Kim, 7-5, 7-6(14), at No. 5.

Claremont won the other four matches in straight sets.

The Tigers return to action on Sunday, March 17, against Cal Lutheran, in Thousand Oaks, Calif., beginning at 2 p.m. (PT).
