Tigers Fall to UC Santa Cruz in Spring Break Finale

The Colorado College men's tennis team wrapped up its 2024 Spring Break trip with a 6-3 loss to UC Santa Cruz Tuesday morning in Santa Cruz, Calif.
 
The Banana Slugs jumped out to an early 3-0 by sweeping the three doubles matches. CC's No. 3 team of Lucas Pastor and Nate Beerman posted the best result, but dropped an 8-5 decision to Mayur Nookala and Radin Sadeghi.  
 
Andrew Kaelin beat Andrew Tjoa, 6-2, 6-4, at the No. 1 singles position, while Aiden Little rallied to beat Sadeghi, 0-6, 6-2, 6-1 at No. 2.
 
Jack Delafield captured the No. 6 match, 6-4, 6-4, over Nookala, but UC Santa Cruz won the other three, including a thrilling 3-6, 7-4, 1-0(8) victory by Praneet Varade over Lucas Pastor at the No. 2 spot.
 
The Tigers return to action on Sunday, March 31, against Metro State at Memorial Park in Colorado Springs, beginning at 10 a.m.
