Fowkes Leads Tigers at KT Woodman Classic

Emma Fowkes posted a pair of seventh-place finishes Saturday to lead the Colorado College women's track & field team at the KT Woodman Classic in Wichita, Kan.
 
Fowkes finished seventh in the 400 hurdles with a personal-best time of 1:06.20, and the high jump with a height of 5'1.75". She also placed 19th in the 100 hurdles (15.71) and joined Clara Lippert, April Kwan and Emma Jones on the 4x100 relay that finished 14th with a time of 51.8 seconds.
 
Lippert finished 19th in the long jump (16'2.5") and 22nd in the 400 with a time of 1:00.12, while Kwan and Jones placed 23rd and 27th, respectively, in the triple jump.
 
Erin Capell posted a 14th-place finish in the discus with a personal-best throw of 122'7", which places her second in the SCAC this season. She also finished 17th in the shot put (35'8.25").
 
The Tigers return to action at the Loper Invitational in Kearney, Neb., on Friday, April 19.
