Tigers Rout UST in SCAC Quarterfinals

The Colorado College men's tennis team advanced to the semifinals of the SCAC Tournament with a dominating 5-0 victory Friday over the University of St. Thomas in Sherman, Texas.
 
The third-seeded Tigers jumped out to an early 3-0 lead by sweeping the doubles matches. Andrew Kaelin and Aiden Little defeated Jaime O'Shea and Pooya Tork, 8-2, at the top spot, while the No. 2 team of Nick Anderson and Nate Beerman downed Steven Kuang and Dorian Cudina by the same score. Dominik Kaminski and Justin Boder followed suit with an 8-7(2) victory over Hunter Kemball Cook and Jeremiah Hoover.
 
In singles, CC needed just two wins to clinch the team match and advance.
 
Anderson won the No. 6 match, 6-2, 6-3, over Ruben Reyes, then Little clinched the match with a 6-1, 6-2 win over Tork at No. 3.
 
The other four matches were pulled with CC easily winning all four.
 
The Tigers return to action against No. 6-ranked Trinity third-seeded Southwestern on Saturday, April 27, beginning at 7 p.m. (CT).
