The third-seeded Colorado College women's tennis team wrapped up its 2023-24 season with a 5-1 loss to Southwestern University Saturday in the semifinals of the SCAC Tournament in Dallas, Texas.

The second-seeded Pirates jumped out to an early 3-0 lead by sweeping the doubles matches. CC's No. 2 team of
Lindsay Popeo and
Christina Heffron fell to Daryl Locke and Kimberly Duncan, 8-5, while
Abby Wilson and
Sydney Vine lost to Valeria Gracia and Sydney Wahl, 8-6, at the No. 3 spot.

In singles play, Heffrom posted CC's lone victory with a 6-4, 6-2 victory over Locke at the No. 3 position. Wahl defeated Popeo, 6-4, 7-5, at the No. 4 spot, while Duncan downed
Elizabeth Girian, 6-1, 6-3, at No. 6.

The Tigers were winning at the top two spots with freshmen
Kala Komanduri and
Avery Hickman when those matches were pulled.
