Colorado College junior
Emma Krasemann was named the 2023-24 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Women's Diver of the Year based on exclusive voting by the league's head coaches and sports information directors. She is the first Tiger to win the award in program history.
Â
Krasemann, from Suffield, Conn., became the first CC female diver and 11th diver in SCAC history to sweep both boards in a single championship at the 2024 SCAC Swimming and Diving Championships en route to being named Diver of the Meet.
Â
She took top honors in the 3-meter with a score of 422.70 and the 1-meter with a mark of 435.85. On the national stage, Krasemann finished 13th (348.45) on the 3-meter at the NCAA Diving III Regionals. She also posted a 28th-place finish on the 1-meter (259.15) at that same meet.
"I am very proud of Emma's accomplishments this season," CC diving coach
Ellen Walker said. "She pushed herself to perfect her dives and improve on them meet after meet. She also drew upon the energy and support of her teammates to have a successful season. This is a tremendous honor."
Â
Krasemann joins Olivia Dilorati as the only other female CC swimmer or diver to earn a major award in program history, as Dilorati took home Swimmer of the Year honors in 2016.
