CC Announces 2024-25 Hockey Schedule

Colorado College has released its 2024-25 hockey schedule, again playing one of the most demanding slates in the country. The Tigers will play 12 of their 34 games this upcoming season against teams that competed in the 2024 NCAA Tournament and 18 against teams that were ranked in the final 2024 USCHO Top-20 poll. 
 
Following an exhibition game at home against Briercrest College (Canada) on Saturday, Oct. 5, the Tigers open the regular season by hosting Northern Michigan, Oct. 11-12, at Ed Robson Arena, before embarking on their first road trip of the season to Alaska Anchorage, Oct. 25-26.
 
The Pikes Peak Trophy, housed at CC since 2018, will be contested in a home-and-home weekend series with Air Force (Nov. 1 at Robson Arena, Nov. 2 at Cadet Ice Arena), then NCHC play opens against league-newcomer Arizona State at home, Nov. 8-9.
 
The Tigers travel to Western Michigan (Nov. 15-16), then return home to host St. Cloud State on Nov. 22-23. Following a weekend series at Providence (Dec. 6-7), the 2024 calendar year closes with the first weekend series in the Battle for the Gold Pan against the defending national champion University of Denver (Dec. 13 at Robson Arena, Dec. 14 at Magness Arena) and an exhibition game vs. UNLV at Robson Arena on Dec. 29.

Following is final non-conference series of the season at home against Augustana on Jan. 3-4, Colorado College plays 16 consecutive league games, starting with a series at Omaha (Jan. 10-11), followed by a home weekend against Minnesota Duluth on Jan. 17-18. During the second half of the season, CC will also host Western Michigan (Jan. 31-Feb. 1) and Miami (Feb. 14-15), and travel to Arizona State (Jan. 24-25), North Dakota (Feb. 7-8) and St. Cloud State (Feb. 21-22).
 
The Gold Pan series concludes on the final weekend of the regular season, with CC and DU facing off at Magness Arena on Mar. 7 and Robson Arena on Mar. 8.

Colorado College will not host North Dakota and Omaha or travel to Minnesota Duluth and Miami in '24-25.
 
The NCHC Quarterfinals will take place March 14-16, with the winners advancing to the 2025 NCHC Frozen Faceoff at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn. The two semifinals are set for Friday, March 21, with the Frozen Faceoff champion crowned on Saturday, March 22.
 
The 2025 NCAA Tournament begins on March 27, while the NCAA Frozen Four will be held in St. Louis, Mo., April 10-12. The NCHC has produced the national champion in six of the last eight seasons.
 
The Tigers are coming off their best season in over a decade, posting a 21-13-3 overall record and finishing in a tie for third place in the NCHC. Head coach Kris Mayotte was named NCHC Coach of the Year, while rising juniors Kaidan Mbereko (First-Team) and Noah Laba (Second-Team) earned All-America honors.
 
Nearly 67 percent of the team's point total from the '23-24 season return for the Tigers, who were ranked in the nation's Top 20 from December to the end of the campaign, and finished the season ranked No. 15.
