The Tigers' six-game unbeaten streak at Stewart Field ended on Sunday, Sept. 29, in a 1-0 loss to Colorado State. Colorado College defended well against the Rams' attack, but a goal in the 63rd minute decided the game.

CC drops to 5-5-1 on the season and 1-1 within conference play.
"Tough game for us overall," head coach
Keri Sanchez said. "We felt we stayed disciplined in our defensive shape and competed hard on that side of the ball. We had moments of positive possession but struggled to get production out of our offense."

The teams exchanged shots in the first half; sophomore
Tyler Rose produced the first and only CC first-half shot in the 23rd minute.

Goalkeeper
Regan Wallace made her first save in the 12th minute as CSU's Maggie Atlman lined a shot towards the bottom right corner of the net. Wallace finished the game with three saves.

It was knotted up at halftime, but the Rams opened up the scoring in the second half by utilizing their set pieces. The Rams took advantage of a corner in the 63rd minute when Katy Coffin found the top right corner of the net after the loose ball bounced around the box and ended up on Coffin's foot.

The Tigers attempted to tie it up, producing a couple of shots, including
Alexis Wessler's only shot in the 81st minute. CC could not find one on target and eventually fell 1-0.

Brett Tsamasfyros' three-game scoring streak concluded as the senior ended the night with 62 minutes and one shot. Wessler,
Kendall Memoly and
Emily Hitt all played 90 minutes.
"Points matter in conference play, and we felt we had a chance to earn some points today but didn't finish the job," Sanchez said. "Hopefully, the frustration will fuel us to get some points on the road next weekend."

CC will take its first Mountain West road trip of the season when it travels to Nevada to take on UNLV on Thursday, Oct. 3, and Nevada on Sunday, Oct. 6.
