The Colorado College women's swimming and diving team wrapped up the 26
th annual CC Classic Sunday. The Tigers finished second with 946 points, trailing meet winner Western State.

Megan Simonson led the way on Sunday, winning the 50 freestyle race and anchoring the first-place 400 freestyle relay. She also anchored the 200 medley relay team that placed second.

Adeline Turner and
Alyssa Tunggal, along with
Malia Hewitt, joined Simonson on the 200 medley team. Turner also placed second in the 200 freestyle and Tunggal did the same in the 100 backstroke.
Kylie Spalt finished third in each race.

Joining Simonson on the winning 400 free relay squad were
Julia Cox,
Sarah Buchman and Grace  Ersfeld-O'Brien. Cox placed second to Simonson in the 50 freestyle and seventh in the 100 backstroke. Ersfeld-O'Brien was seventh in the 200 freestyle, while Turner and Buchman placed fourth and fifth in the 50 freestyle.
"It was a great weekend of racing and diving for the team," head coach
Jen Buffin said. "This is one of the hardest parts of our season before we start preparing for championships. Our athletes continue to step into new roles and we saw them swim in a lot of different events. They showed their resilience and had great races individually and in the relays."

The Tigers are idle until competing at the SCAC Championships in Garland, Texas, Feb. 12-15.
