Â
Senior
Sarah Buchman and sophomore
Julia Cox swam on both winning relay teams, while senior
Megan Simonson anchored the 400 freestyle relay.
Â
"It was a great first night our team really showed up to compete," head coach
Jen Buffin said. "We set the tone early with wins in both the 400 medley and 400 free relays, and it was awesome to see freshman standouts like
Livi Woolery and
Annie Engstrom capture their first college victories.
Isabella Cole also had a strong performance in the 100 breaststroke. We are excited to carry this momentum into tomorrow and put ourselves in position for our first team wins of the year."
Â
The double dual continues on Saturday, Oct. 18, as Friday's scores will carry over.
