The Colorado College women's swimming and diving team opened the season on Friday with the first day of a double dual with Grinnell and Augustana in Grinnell, Iowa.
 
The Tigers hold a lead against each school, 106-41 over Augustana and 90-73 over Grinnell.
 
Junior Isabella Cole and freshmen Annie Engstrom and Livi Woolery each posted an individual and relay win on Friday.
 
Cole won the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:08.97 and swam second on the winning 400 medley relay. Woolery, meanwhile, led off the 400 medley relay and captured the 100 backstroke in 1:00.62.
 
Engstrom touched first in the 500 freestyle (5:20.5) and was a member of the 400 freestyle relay.
 
Senior Sarah Buchman and sophomore Julia Cox swam on both winning relay teams, while senior Megan Simonson anchored the 400 freestyle relay.
 
"It was a great first night our team really showed up to compete," head coach Jen Buffin said. "We set the tone early with wins in both the 400 medley and 400 free relays, and it was awesome to see freshman standouts like Livi Woolery and Annie Engstrom capture their first college victories. Isabella Cole also had a strong performance in the 100 breaststroke. We are excited to carry this momentum into tomorrow and put ourselves in position for our first team wins of the year."
 
The double dual continues on Saturday, Oct. 18, as Friday's scores will carry over.
