The Colorado College men's swimming and diving team wrapped up its season-opening double-dual against Grinnell and Augustana Saturday in Grinnell, Iowa.

The Tigers defeated Augustana, 203.5-136.5, but fell to Grinnell, 190-156.

Senior
Edmund Davis captured the 200- and 1000 freestyle races on Saturday. He touched the wall in 1:45.48 in the 200 and 10:07.95 in the 1000 race.

Nico Rimer won the 3-meter diving event with 224.15 points after winning the 1-meter event on Friday, while sophomore
Sam Allen won the 200 backstroke in 1:57.38.

Sophomores
Andrew Colgan and
Stephen Kim posted a second-place result in the 200 breaststroke and 200 IM, respectively, while Allen and Colgan joined fellow sophomore
Liam McCarthy and senior
Dax Sherwood on the runner-up 200 medley relay team.

"We showed great fight and made up points on day two against Grinnell," head coach

Edmund Davis led with wins in both the 1000 and 200 free, and
Sam Allen had a great double in the 200 fly and 200 back, picking up the win in backstroke. Our freshmen,
Mark Lofye and
Logan Loveday, continue to impress, and
Stephen Kim put together strong races in both the IM and breaststroke.
Nico Rimer capped off the meet with another great performance on the 3-meter board, earning his second diving win of the weekend. Overall, it was a great start to the season with a lot of positives to build on."
