The Colorado College cross country teams return to action this Friday, Oct. 3, at the 51
st annual Paul Short Run in Bethlehem, Pa. The men's team will run at 10:30 am MT, followed by the women at 11:15 am.

Senior
Alison Mueller-Hickler led the women's team to its second straight team win at the Ted Castaneda Classic with her second consecutive collegiate individual title on Sept. 27, at North Monument Valley Park.

Mueller-Hickler led a first through fifth finish for the Tigers with a time of 22:05.40, followed by junior
Charlie Flint, who placed second in 22:38.81.

Abby Goodfried was third with a time of 22:48.60, while senior
Brooktie Frogge (4
th/22:52.52) and freshman
Sadie Honig (5
th/23:10.36) rounded out the scoring for the Tigers.

Meanwhile,
Will Shuflit became the second CC runner to win the school's home cross country meet in consecutive years and led the Tigers to a second-place finish at the Ted Castaneda Classic.

Shuflit finished the 8K race in 24 minutes, 49.46 seconds, more than 15 seconds faster than runner-up Joseph White of Division I Air Force. Shuflit joins Jackson Brainerd (2008, '09) as the only back-to-back winners of the event from CC.

Axel Klomparens placed sixth with a time of 25:34.32, followed by sophomores
Vincent Mangat and
Diego Escalante in seventh and ninth, respectively.

Freshman
Lincoln Brewer rounded out the scoring for the Tigers with an 11th-place result.

National / Regional Rankings
The women's team remained No. 21 this week's USTFCCCA Division III National Rankings, while the men are ranked No. 26.

Mueller-Hickler, Shuflit Earned SCAC Weekly Honors
Following the Ted Castaneda Classic, Mueller-Hickler and Shuflit were named the SCAC Women's and Men's Runners of the Week, respectively, each for the second time this season.
