Tigers Return to Texas For Two SCAC Matches

The Colorado College volleyball team returns to Texas this weekend for a pair of SCAC matches. The Tigers (16-7 overall, 8-4 SCAC) will face McMurry in Abilene on Friday, Oct. 31, at 5 p.m. CT, before battling Schreiner in Kerrville on Saturday, Nov. 1, at 1 p.m. CT. CC enters the weekend in third place in the SCAC's Gold Division.
 
Last Time Out
The Tigers rolled to three victories last weekend in Longview, Texas.
 
CC defeated LeTourneau, Centenary and the University of the Ozarks, each in three sets.
 
Against LeTourneau on Friday, Carolyn Dormady led all players with 16 kills, followed by Camille Sherrill with 11 kills and Camden Goodman had a match-high 46 assists as the Tigers posted a 25-23, 25-20, 25-18 win.
 
On Saturday, the Tigers downed Centenary, 25-13, 25-12, 25-13, then dominated the University of Ozarks, 25-18, 25-6, 25-15.
 
In the opener against Centenary, Sherrill led the Tigers with 10 kills, followed by Julia Reusch with nine. Goodman collected 24 assists, while Sherrill had a team-high 12 digs, followed by Goodman with nine.
 
Against Ozarks, Sherrill, Brooke Brilliant and Dormady each posted a match-high nine kills while leading the Tigers to a season-high.420 hitting percentage (41 kills, seven errors). Dormady led the way with a .500 percentage, with zero errors in 18 attempts.
 
Goodman Named SCAC Setter of the Week
Following the three victories last weekend, Goodman was named the SCAC Setter of the Week for the second time this season.
 
The sophomore from Park City, Utah, posted 102 assists to average 11.33 per set. Goodman totaled 46 in a sweep of LeTourneau to average 15.33 per set in that match and added 29 digs over the weekend. Her 46 assists in a three-set match sits just outside the top 10 all-time in the SCAC record book.

Scouting The Opposition
McMurry enters Friday's match with a 13-10 overall record and a 5-8 mark in the SCAC, good for fifth place in the SCAC's Gold Division. Meanwhile, Schriener is 19-5 overall and 10-2 in the SCAC entering its match on Friday vs. St. Thomas.

CC wraps up the 2025 regular season with a pair of home matches, Nov. 7-8. The Tigers will face Concordia on Friday, Nov. 7, at 5 p.m., before battling Texas Lutheran on Senior Day on Saturday, Nov. 8, in Kerrville, Texas, at 11 a.m.
