Carolyn Dormady led all players with 11 kills and
Camille Sherrill added nine to lead the Colorado College volleyball team to a three-set sweep over the College of Wooster Tuesday night at Reid Arena.
Â
Brooke Brilliant and
Julia Reusch combined for 14 kills and just two errors as the Tigers snapped a two-match losing streak in their final non-conference contest of the season, 25-21, 25-14, 25-8.
Â
The Tigers (12-5, 4-2 SCAC) won a back-and-forth first set thanks to Reusch, who had three kills late as CC rallied from a 17-16 deficit to take the set, 25-22.
Â
Another big run by Colorado College ended the second set as well.
Meghan Gannon took the ball to serve with CC trailing 11-10, and after a couple of aces, the Tigers were ahead 19-11, and rattled off 15 of the last 18 points.
Â
The Tigers pulled away early in the final set, jumping out to a 12-4 lead and they never looked back.
Â
Annie Joo continued her solid play with 34 assists and three kills, while Gannon had 16 digs and Sherrill collected five service aces.
Â
"I was really proud of how we responded after a tough weekend," head coach
Sharon Dingman said. "It was fun to watch us get better every set  and our middle attack was great tonight."
Â
Colorado College returns to SCAC action on Friday, Oct. 10, against Schreiner University at Reid Arena, beginning at 3 p.m.
