The Colorado College swimming and diving teams completed the Speedo Invitational Sunday in Danville, Ky., with the women finishing in third place and the men in fifth. The day was highlighted with a school record by
Julia Cox in the 200 freestyle and a meet record by
Keller Pooley in the 1-meter diving event.

Cox beat her own school record in the prelims of the 100 freestyle with a time of 51.78 seconds, then finished second in the final, followed by teammate
Sarah Buchman in fourth place.

Pooley, meanwhile, won her second event in as many days with a meet-record score of 397.45 points in the 1-meter, surpassing the previous record of 2025 graduate
Emma Krasemann (385.30).

Annie Engstrom posted a third-place finish in the 1650 freestyle with the third-best time in program history of 17:46.82, while
Kylie Spalt finished sixth, then placed fifth in the 200 backstroke with a aeason-best time of 2:12.52.

Isabella Cole continued a strong showing in the breaststroke with a sixth-place finish in the 200 breaststroke in a personal-best time of 2:25.57, while
Alyssa Tunggal finished off the individual races with a season-best 2:13.72, good for fourth place in the 200 butterfly.

The 400 freestyle relay team of Cox,
Megan Simonson, Grace Ersfeld O'Brien and Buchman placed second with a time of 3:33.72. Â

The men's team opened the individual portion of the Sunday finals with
Edmund Davis and
Mark Lofye placing sixth and seventh, respectively, in the 1650 freestyle, while
Sam Allen posted the second-best time in program history in the prelims of the 200 backstroke (1:50.76), then finished sixth in the final

Liam McCarthy posted a 7
th place finish with a season-best time of 46.45 in the 100 freestyle, followed by
Dax Sherwood in 13
th with a season-best 46.94.
Andrew Colgan finished eighth in the 200 breaststroke with a season-best 2:08.49 and Carter Hagenuaer finished 14
th in the 200 butterfly with a personal-best time of 2:03.38.

"Both teams overall had a great meet and finished with our best session Sunday evening," head coach
Jen Buffin said. "We focused on racing this last day and keeping the energy up as we would during the conference meet. The results of this evening show us that on the last day we were resilient and focused on each of our races. This is tough three days of competition and we showed the work that has been done and we are ready to continue working toward our goals at the end of the year."
