The Colorado College volleyball team wrapped up the 2025 regular season with a come-from-behind five-set victory over Texas Lutheran Saturday at Reid Arena.
Â
The Tigers dropped the first two sets, but rallied to win the match, 17-25, 19-25, 25-17, 25-19, 15-12, clinching their seventh straight victory heading into next week's SCAC Tournament.
Â
Camille Sherrill once again led the Tigers with a match-high 25 kills and produced a .354 hitting percentage.
Brooke Brilliant followed with 11 kills and
Camden Goodman collected 49 assists for the second straight match.
Â
CC (20-7, 12-4 SCAC) jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first set, but Texas Lutheran scored the next four to take a 4-3 lead and never trailed again in the set.
Â
The second set was a back-and-forth affair until TLU ran away from a 17-17 tie to win eight of the last 10 points.
Â
The Tigers roared back and never trailed in the third set, then pulled away midway through the fourth set.
Â
In the fifth and deciding set, CC opened an 8-5 advantage thanks to a couple kills by Sherrill and one each from Brilliant and
Julia Reusch. The Bulldogs cut the lead to 9-8, but
Tatum Hodges had one of her career-high seven kills late in the set, while Sherrill had three, including match point, to close out the match.
Â
Reusch added eight kills and
Grace Berry had six.
Meghan Gannon led the Tigers with 16 digs.
"Once again, we had a gritty performance," head coach
Sharon Dingman said. "Camille and Meg continue to be our pillars. Today, it took every one of us including a gutsy performance by
Tatum Hodges."
Â
The Tigers will play in the quarterfinals of the SCAC Tournament in Kerrville, Texas, on Friday, Nov. 14.
