87 Years of Tiger Hockey
This season marks the 87th year of varsity ice hockey at Colorado College and 13th season as a member of the National Collegiate Hockey Conference. CC was a charter member of the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (1951-52) for 62 seasons before joining the NCHC with seven other schools prior to the 2013-14 campaign.

Kaidan Mbereko made 27 saves, but Miami evened the game with 10.1 seconds in the third period in a 4-4 tie. Miami won the shootout to gain the extra point in the NCHC standings. Miami's Max Helgeson opened the scoring at the 11:02 mark of the first period, then David Deputy scored at the 16:50 mark of the second to make it 2-0. Björck took a pass from
Colton Roberts and fired a one-timer from the right circle past Drobac to cut the lead to 2-1.
Riley Stuart evened things up just 2:19 into the third period when his shot from the top of the right circle deflected off a Miami defender's stick, then off the post and in the net. Deputy put the RedHawks back in front with a power-play goal at 6:24 of the final period, but
Brayden Schuurman tied it up again at the 14:30 mark, and Björck notched his second of the game 59 seconds later. With Drobac on the bench in favor of an extra attacker, Casper Nassen scored with 10.1 seconds left in the third to send the game to overtime. Miami put the puck in the net at the 2:15 mark of overtime, but CC challenged the play and the call was overturned for goaltender interference. The Tigers were stopped on all three shootout chances before Ilia Morozov put the puck past Mbereko to give Miami the extra point ... On Saturday,
Philippe Blais-Savoie scored a pair of power-play goals in a 3-3 tie. This time,
Bret Link was the only player to score in the shootout to give CC the extra point. The RedHawks struck first for the second consecutive night as Doug Grimes scored just 1:59 into the contest. The Tigers roared back with a pair of goals to take the lead.
Colton Roberts notched the second of his career with a wrist shot from the high slot, then Blais-Savoie put CC ahead with his second of the season, a power-play blast from the right circle, at 8:06 of the first period. Grimes notched his second goal and evened the game at the 4:59 mark of the second period, then the RedHawks regained the lead when Kocha Delic took a cross-ice pass from Quinn and scored into an open net at 11:52 of the middle frame. Blais-Savoie collected his second power-play goal of the contest to make it 3-3 at the 7:08 mark of the third period, setting up overtime.
The Coaches
Kris Mayotte is in his fifth season at the helm of the Tigers. He came to Colorado College after serving two years as an assistant coach at the University of Michigan, and was an assistant coach for Providence College when the Friars won the NCAA Division I title in 2015. Mayotte was the NCHC Coach of the Year following the 2023-24 campaign … Garrett Raboin is the inaugural head coach for the Augustana program, currently in its third year of existence. He previously spent four seasons as an assistant coach at Minnesota and six at St. Cloud State. Raboin is a 2010 graduate of St. Cloud State.

Sophomore
Philippe Blais-Savoie was named the KJ Branding NCHC Defenseman of the Week following the Miami series. Blais-Savoie scored a career-high two goals, both on the power play, in Saturday's 3-3 tie. Blais-Savoie completed the series with two goals on four shots. He joins

Mats Lindgren Added to 2025-26 Roster
Defenseman
Mats Lindgren has been added to the 2025-26 roster, effective immediately. Lindgren, a fourth-round pick (#106 overall) by the Buffalo Sabres in the 2022 NHL Draft from North Vancouver, B.C., most recently played during the 2024-25 campaign, scoring 21 points (7g,14a) in 56 games for the Wheeling Nailers of the ECHL and appearing in seven games for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League. Prior to that, he played five seasons in the WHL between the Kamloops Blazers and Red Deer Rebels, collecting 129 points (24g,105a) in 220 games.
Beckner Named to Spengler Cup Roster
Sophomore
Owen Beckner was named to the U.S. Collegiate Selects roster for the 2025 Spengler Cup. Unfortunately, Beckner is unable to participate in the tournament.
Björck Named to Sweden's World Junior Team
Freshman Wilson Björck is playing for Team Sweden at the IIHF 2026 World Junior Championship in St. Paul, Minn. He is the 27th player from Colorado College to play in the World Junior Championship, a list that includes teammate
Kaidan Mbereko and current NHL players
Noah Laba, Jaden Schwartz and Jaccob Slavin. Gustav Olofsson, who played at Colorado College during the 2013-14 season before turning pro, is the only other former Tiger to play for Sweden in the WJC.
Most NHL Draft Picks on Roster in Two Decades
With the addition of
Mats Lindgren, the 2025-26 roster has 10 players that have been drafted by the NHL. That ties for the most on a roster in program history, joining the 2003-04 and '04-05 rosters.
Oh Brother
Freshmen Tomas and
Mateo Mrsic are the 21st set of brothers to play hockey together at Colorado College and the first since Cody (2012-16) and Trey Bradley (2015-19) during the 2015-16 season. Other prominent brothers to lace their skates up at the same time in Colorado Springs include the only two NHL first-round draft picks from CC, Jaden (St. Louis, 2010) and Rylan Schwartz played together from 2010-12, while Mark Stuart (Boston, 2003) played two years with each of his older brothers, Mike from 2000-02 and Colin from 2002-04. Marty Sertich, the 2005 Hobey Baker winner, and his brother, Mike, played together at CC during the '04-05 campaign.

CC to Have 15 Games Televised This Season
Colorado College announced that 15 games will be broadcast live on television this season, including 12 games by partner SOCO CW. SOCO CW is available to viewers throughout Colorado Springs, Pueblo and Southern Colorado. In addition, KRDO-13 (ABC) in Colorado Springs will televise two games.
Season Five at Robson Arena
Never in the storied 80-plus years history of Colorado College Tiger Hockey had the team played its home games on campus. Thanks to the generosity of donors, including former CC hockey player Ed Robson '54 the school's Board of Trustees, that changed on October 8, 2021, when the Tigers and St. Lawrence battled in the first regular-season game at Ed Robson Arena. Colorado College was one of nine Division I teams to surpass capacity on a per game basis last season at 106.7 percent. The capacity of Robson Arena is 3,407 and CC averaged an attendance of 3,634 in its 17 home games.
