The Colorado College women's swimming & diving team is in fifth place after the first two events of the 2025 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Swimming & Diving Championships at the Garland ISD Natatorium.

In the first race of the meet, CC's top 200-yard medley relay team consisting of
Adeline Turner,
Malia Hewitt,
Sarah Buchman and
Megan Simonson finished second with a time of 1:46.81 to earn all-SCAC honors and 34 points. The 'B' team of
Sienna Schaay,
Isabella Cole,
Alyssa Tunggal and
Julia Cox placed 10th, good for 14 points.

Unfortunately, the top 800-yard freestyle relay team was disqualified for an early take off, but the 'B' team of Tunggal,
Nabila Argueta,
Kylie Spalt and
Sarah Buchman placed 10th for 14 points.

We started the meet off with strong swims by all four legs of the 200 medley relay," head coach
Jen Buffin said. "I am really pleased with how they were all racing and got behind each other. I am proud of how we responded after the DQ in the 800 freestyle and we are ready to move forward."
The SCAC Championships continue on Thursday with four more events. The preliminaries begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by the finals at 5 p.m. (MT).
