The Colorado College women's swimming and diving team vaulted into second place after Thursday's finals at the 2025 SCAC Swimming and Diving Championships.

The Tigers, who posted two second and two third-place finishes on Thursday, have 250 points but trail Trinity, who has 372 points.Â

In the opening race of the night,
Alyssa Tunggal and
Kylie Spalt finished second and third, respectively, in the 500-yard freestyle,. Tunggal posted a time of 5:11.93, while Spalt touched in 5:12.15.
Abby Romisher was  fifth in 5:12.97, followed by
Nabila Argueta in ninth with a time of 5:17.86.

In the 50-yard freestyle,
Megan Simonson earned all-league honors with a third-place result in 24.10 seconds, while
Sarah Buchman and
Julia Cox placed fifth and sixth, respectively. Â

CC finished the night on the podium again after placing second in the 400-yard medley relay as the quartet of
Adeline Turner,
Malia Hewitt, Buchman and Cox secured a time of 3:57.59.

Hewitt (5

Riley Romisher (6
th) and
Olivia Crisafulli (10
th) all finished in the top 10 in the 200 individual medley to score valuable points for the Tigers.

"Tonight was a great team effort with everyone showing up and putting the team first," head coach
Jen Buffin said. "I am proud of how our team fought back to be in 2nd place."

Friday's prelims will begin at 9:30 a.m., with the finals at 5 p.m. MT.Â
