The Colorado College men's tennis team fell to Division I Marist University, 4-1, Thursday afternoon at the Air Force Academy.
 
The Red Foxes jumped out to an early 1-0 lead by winning the first two doubles matches off the court. Nicholas Suhanitski and Ian Layton downed Nick Anderson and Aiden Little, 6-2, at the at No. 2, while Augustin Damonte and Fateh Singh beat Nate Beerman and Nico Davis, 6-2, at the No. 3 spot. The No. 1 match between CC's Dominik Kaminski and Lenny Lehmitz and Martist's Jose Catala and Gregor Heinemann was halted with the Red Foxes leading 5-3.
 
Sam Dilworth captured the Tigers' only victory by defeating Layton, 6-4, 6-3, at the No. 4 singles position.
 
Marist won the top three singles matches, including a 2-6, 6-4, 1-0(8) victory over Little at the No. 2 spot. The Nos. 5 and 6 matches were not played after Marist clinched the team match.
 
The Tigers return to action on Saturday, March 15, against Cal Tech in Pasadena, Calif., beginning at 3 p.m. (PT).
