The Colorado College track & field teams will split for two meets this weekend. Some members of the men's team will compete at the Bryan Clay Invitational on the campus of Azusa Pacific on Friday, April 18, while both teams will be at the Loper Invitational at Nebraska Kearney on Saturday, April 19.

Last Time Out
Isabel Olson and
Rabbit Barnes each broke their own school record at the prestigious KT Woodman Classic in Wichita, Kan.
Â
Olson finished second in the 1500 with a time of 4:27.59, surpassing her previous record of 4:33.94, set last season. She has also broken the 5K school record twice this spring.
Â
Barnes, meanwhile, finished fourth in the 800 with a time of 1:51.45, surpassing his previous record of 1:51.88, set last season. He has also broken the 1500 school record this spring and holds the best time in Division III in the 1500.

At the War Hawk Classic in Abilene, Texas,
Clara Lippert led the way with three Top 10 results. She finished fifth in the long jump with a distance of 17'3.5", eighth in the 200 with a time of 25.29 seconds and joined
Zaniya Bruno Munn,
Emma Jones, and
Alina Miranda on the sixth-place 4x100 relay team. Lippert also finished 11
th in the 100.

Josephine Louis posted the Tigers' best individual finish on Saturday, placing third in the pole vault with a height of 10'4.25", followed by Ashi Soni in sixth place at 8'4.75".Â

On the men's side,
Oliver Smeal,
Owen Shi and
Josh Williams each captured a Top 10 result at the meet.
Â
Smeal finished third in the javelin Friday night with a throw of 166'5", just four inches shy of his school record.
Â
Shi, meanwhile, placed fourth in the shot put (46'6.75") and Williams fifth in the 200 with a time of 21.5 seconds.

Smeal and Williams also joined
Chase Marks and
Holden Perry for third place in the 4x100 relay with a time of 41.64 seconds.

Olson Named Women's Track Athlete of the Week
Olson was named the SCAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week after breaking her own school record in the 1500 last weekend.

Women Ranked 25th in Division III
The women's team continues to appear in the DIvision III rankings, coming in this week at No. 25.
