The Colorado College men's tennis team defeated Division II Metro State University-Denver for the first time since 2010 with a 5-2 victory Sunday afternoon in Denver.

The Tigers jumped out to an early 1-0 lead and never looked back by winning the top two doubles matches.
Dominik Kaminski and
Sam Dilworth defeated Alessandro Munoz and Marco Jalalian, 7-6(5), at the No. 1 position, then
Nate Beerman and
Lenny Lehmitz captured the No. 2 match, 6-2, over Enzo Ingheterra and Lluc Limongi Ollers.

Two of the six singles matches were extended to three sets and the Tigers won both.
Aiden Little defeated Alejandro Jiminez Gomez, 6-1, 3-6, 1-0(8) at No. 2 and
Mateo Melgar won in three sets at the No. 6 spot, beating Ingheterra, 6-4, 4-6, 1-0(3).
Lucas Pastor took the No. 1 match, 6-3, 7-6(5) over Ollers and Lehmitz sealed the deal with a 7-5, 6-1 victory over Maximo Lawlor at No. 5.

The Tigers return to action on Saturday, April 12, against Division II Colorado Mesa at Memorial Park in Colorado Springs, beginning at 11 a.m.
